This is Legacy 6. Your personal heritage through the art you love.
Created by Kit Green.
You’re going to curate, create or commission six pieces of art that you love. Added together this creates a statement of who you are right now. Maybe one day this will become part of your legacy. A message to anyone who sees this in the future of who you were through what you loved.
What is art? Anything that you define it to be. If you can upload a picture to sum it up then its art. It could be a picture, a song, a recipe, a map. Anything. We will talk you through the process once you’ve created a profile.
You can write up to 600 characters about what you’ve chosen, or you can let your artwork speak for itself.
- Curate? Choose from the billions of pre-existing works of art
- Create? Make something brand new for the project
- Commission? Ask someone else to make something for you. You could ask your friend to do a sketch or pay a professional some money. It’s up to you.
Legacy 6 is a creative, intentional act of personal heritage. You can make it whatever you want it to be. You can browse all the existing profiles for inspiration, search by name or by item. Or go rogue and be individual. But it will always be a picture and 6 item.
Legacy 6 was launched with three events at the British Library; a creative health symposium, a community drop in day and a panel event featuring Michael Rosen, Awate and Malika Booker
